Pick an expiry date and time, and the shoots.page gallery link stops working on its own when it passes. Clients see the date from their first visit, and you can change or clear it at any time.

How gallery expiry works

Set a date
Choose an optional expiry date and time (in your local time) while setting up your gallery, or add one later from the gallery settings in the app.
Share your link
Send the link yourself, or let shoots.page email it to your client. They open the gallery without creating an account or downloading an app.
Access ends automatically
When the date passes, access closes on its own. You do not need to log in to turn off the link. Anyone who opens it after that sees that the gallery is not available.

Expiry vs revoke vs delete

You can change the expiry date or clear it at any time from your gallery settings.

Expiry	Happens automatically at the date and time you choose.	Closing access for jobs with a natural end, such as a fixed delivery window or seasonal project.
Revoke	Happens the moment you click Revoke link on the gallery.	Ending client access immediately without deleting the gallery. Publish again brings back the same link.
Delete	Happens when you manually choose to delete the gallery.	Removing the gallery and its uploaded images from your account.

Clients see the date and get a reminder

From the first visit, the gallery shows "Available until" and the date under its title, so clients know how long they have to download. Clients who got the gallery by email from shoots.page also get a reminder email 24 hours before it closes, with a button back to the gallery.

What happens to the photos

Expiry closes the link; it deletes nothing. The photos stay in your account and still count toward your storage until you revoke the link or delete the gallery. Keep your own backup of the RAW files and exports either way; our guide on gallery delivery vs backup covers how.

Common questions

Do recipients see the expiry date?

Yes. If an expiry date is set, recipients see it displayed on the gallery alongside the gallery title and your studio name.

Can I change or remove the expiry date after sharing?

Yes. You can edit gallery settings at any time from the app: update the expiry date, clear it entirely, revoke access instantly, or delete the gallery. The exact options are documented in delete and expire galleries.

Can I combine expiry with a password?

Yes. Expiry works alongside optional password protection (8 to 256 characters). Recipients enter the password to open the gallery, and access remains active until the expiry date passes.
