Contracts, invoices, booking and websites
ShootProof puts e-sign contracts and invoices, with optional tipping, in every paid plan, so the $8.33 Starter plan already covers paperwork and payments. Online booking is an add-on at $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year since 1 October 2026; it was $4.99 a month. Even the free plan gets a simple portfolio website.
Pixieset sells its business tools separately. Studio Manager covers invoices, contracts with e-signatures, questionnaires, quotes, booking and scheduling, and online payments. Its free tier includes unlimited invoices, 3 contracts, 3 quotes or questionnaires and 1 active session type; Plus costs $12 a month billed yearly ($15 monthly) and Pro $18 ($24). The website builder is priced the same. The Suite bundles everything: Starter with 100 GB for $28 a month billed yearly ($35 monthly), Pro with 2,000 GB for $38 ($50) and Ultimate with unlimited storage for $55 ($65).
Selling prints
ShootProof takes no commission on sales on any plan, Free included, and works with Bay Photo, Miller's, WHCC, ProDPI and Loxley Colour. Email campaigns come with every plan. Pixieset takes 15% of store sales on the free plan and nothing on paid plans, with orders fulfilled by partner labs such as WHCC, ProDPI, Miller's, Mpix, Loxley Colour and Atkins Pro Lab, or by you. Files, client access and downloads
ShootProof accepts JPEG files only, in sRGB, up to 50 MB and 100 megapixels each, so PNG graphics and RAW files have to go elsewhere. Pixieset takes JPEG and PNG up to 100 MB on every plan, and RAW files such as CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG and RAF on Pro and Ultimate.
Neither asks clients to create an account. ShootProof asks every visitor for an email address before they favorite or download. On Pixieset, visitors open a collection as a guest or as a client, email registration is an optional setting per collection, and favorite lists are saved under an email address. A ShootProof original-resolution download is the exact file you uploaded; on Pixieset's free plan clients get web sizes only, and original-resolution downloads need a paid plan.
ShootProof now sells storage, not photo counts
In late September 2026 ShootProof moved from plans sized by photo count to plans sized in gigabytes: 20 GB, 100 GB, 1,000 GB or unlimited photos. Some older ShootProof pages still show the photo counts, so compare against the current plans page. In August 2026 it also added slideshows and reels.
