Delivery vs proofing: which workflow fits your shoot?
Choose delivery when you hand over finished photos, and proofing when your client needs to select favorites first. On shoots.page you can run both on the same gallery link without switching tools.

Delivery means handing over final, finished files to your client. Proofing means your client reviews a set and marks favorites before finals are settled.
Deliver straight when the set is finished and the client trusts your edit. Proof first when the client picks which images get retouched, ordered or printed.

How proofing works on shoots.page
Enable proofing and set max picks
Turn on photo proofing for the gallery — it is per-gallery opt-in, with studio-level defaults and per-gallery overrides. Then set the maximum number of picks your client can select.
Set optional extras and pricing
If you allow picks beyond the maximum, enable extras with a per-photo price and currency you choose. shoots.page shows the running total, but never collects payments — settling up stays between you and your client.
The client stars favorites on the link
Your client opens the gallery link with no account. As they star photos, a live counter tracks picks against the max, with a running price when extras are on.
Submission locks until you reopen it
The client submits picks with their name and email. The submission locks immediately to prevent accidental changes, and you can reopen it whenever needed. Each gallery supports up to 200 submissions.
When each workflow fits
Deliver straight when the brief is fixed and you hand over every finished image — headshots, commercial brand sessions, or clients who trust your selection. It also suits quick releases like wedding sneak peeks; the full flow is in send photos to clients.
Proof first for weddings, events and portrait sessions — anywhere client choices determine retouching, album layouts or prints. Collecting picks first means you only polish the images your client actually wants.
Common questions
Can clients pay for extra picks through shoots.page?
No. shoots.page displays the agreed price and running total for extras, but it never processes transactions or collects payments. Payment stays between you and your client.
Can a client change their picks after submitting?
Once a client submits with name and email, the selection locks. If they need to change favorites, you reopen the submission from your gallery controls.
Does my client need an account to proof?
No. Clients proof directly through your gallery link — starring picks and submitting favorites without creating an account or logging in.
Can I deliver finals from the same gallery used for proofing?
Yes. Proofing runs on the same gallery link you deliver from, so picks and final high-resolution files stay in one place.
