Create a gallery, step by step

This guide walks you through creating, uploading, and publishing a gallery for your client. Once you finish, you get one link your client can open with no account.

The full flow

  1. Choose your photos

    Go to the shoots.page homepage and click Choose photos, or drag and drop your files into the browser. You can select finished JPEG, PNG, or RAW files; HEIC/HEIF files and video are not accepted.

  2. Set your title and delivery options

    While your files stay on your device without uploading, enter a Gallery title of up to 120 characters. Under Privacy & delivery, you can also add an optional password (8–256 characters) and an optional expiry date.

  3. Sign in with Google

    Sign in with your free Google account to continue. Your selected photos, title, and delivery settings carry through sign-in, so you never have to pick files twice.

  4. Let uploads run

    After you sign in, shoots.page creates the gallery server-side and begins resumable multipart uploads in 8 MiB parts. If you close the browser mid-upload, you can return later and it resumes where it stopped — see upload recovery.

  5. Let previews generate

    Previews generate automatically in the background as files finish uploading: 480 px thumbnails and 2,000 px JPEG previews, including a rendered 2,000 px JPEG preview for every RAW file.

  6. Review and publish

    Look over your gallery to check the photos as your client will see them. When you are ready to deliver, click Publish gallery.

  7. Copy and share the recipient link

    Your recipient link uses the format https://shoots.page/g/<slug>. The Share gallery dialog confirms: Your gallery is live. Anyone with the link can open it. (adding and password if you protected the gallery).

Change anything later

You can manage your gallery at any time from /app: change the title, choose a cover photo, update the password or expiry date, adjust proofing settings, toggle Allow original downloads and Allow JPEG downloads, revoke the link, or delete the gallery. Common questions

Do my photos upload as soon as I pick them?

No. Your files stay on your device while you set your title and privacy options. Uploading only begins after you sign in with Google.

What happens if I close the tab before signing in?

Your draft persists in your browser across reloads. When you open shoots.page again, your file selection and chosen settings are still there.

Does my client need an account?

No. Recipients never need an account, an app, or any sign-up to open the link, view photos, or download files.

Can I change the title or password after publishing?

Yes. Manage the gallery in /app to update the title, change or remove the password, change the expiry date, adjust download permissions, or revoke the link entirely.
