Untouched RAWs, plus JPEGs that open anywhere
How to send RAW files to clients
Upload the RAW files to one shoots.page gallery, turn on RAW downloads and send the link: your client downloads the RAW files byte for byte, plus a full-size JPEG of every frame that opens anywhere, with no account. CR2, NEF and DNG are verified and most other camera RAW formats work. Agree with the client first which files they get and what they will do with them.

When to send RAW files
Most clients should get finished, edited photos. RAW files make sense when someone on the client side will edit: a retoucher, an agency or art director, a publication with its own look, or a client who bought the RAWs as part of the job. A RAW file is the unedited capture, usually much larger than a finished JPEG and editable only in a RAW-capable app, so a client who just wants to look at and share the photos is better served by JPEGs. That is what shoots.page gives every client by default: a full-size JPEG of each RAW.
Agree this with the client first
- Which frames: every capture, a culled set, or only the final picks.
- Which files: RAW only, RAW plus your edited JPEGs, or JPEGs only.
- Who edits, and whether your edit is the reference for their look.
- What they may do with edited versions, and how you are credited, in writing.
- The total size in GB and how long the link stays open.
- That they need a RAW-capable app to edit; the browser previews are JPEGs.
Send RAW files to a client, step by step
Pick the files
On the homepage, select the RAW files, plus any finished JPEGs or PNGs you are delivering with them, and title the gallery. The selection stays in your browser while you set it up.
Sign in and upload
Sign in with Google to send. Uploads go in resumable 8 MiB parts, so a large RAW set can stop and pick up where it left off.
Let the previews render
Each RAW gets a 480 px thumbnail, a 2000 px JPEG and a full-size JPEG in the background. Previews are generated for files up to 1 GiB and 100 megapixels; a larger file has to be removed before the gallery can be published.
Choose the downloads
Turn on Allow RAW downloads, which is off by default, so the client gets the RAWs, one by one or as a ZIP. Original downloads, on by default, give them a full-size JPEG of every RAW to view and share, and JPEG downloads add the smaller 2000 px versions.
Publish and send the link
Publish, then send the link with a short note on what is inside. Add a password or an expiry date if your agreement calls for one.
How many RAW files fit
Storage is per account and shared by all your galleries.
| If your RAW files average | Files in 2 GB free | Files in 100 GB on Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 25 MB | 80 | 4,000 |
| 50 MB | 40 | 2,000 |
| 100 MB | 20 | 1,000 |
At 50 MB per file, a 300-frame shoot is 15 GB, so a full RAW handoff usually needs Pro: 100 GB for USD 9 a month or USD 90 a year, before tax. Work out your own number with the gallery size calculator.
