Start with the photographer's gallery
If your photographer delivered the photos in an online gallery, forwarding that link is the simplest route: guests see the finished set and you upload nothing.
First ask the photographer how long the gallery stays online, and whether guests may download the photos or only view them. If it closes soon, or you want to add your own photos, make a gallery of your own.
Make your own gallery for the guests
Most guests only want the photos they are in, plus a few of the two of you, so a curated set of a few hundred works better than every frame of the day. Mix the photographer's best shots with phone photos from the reception and scans from the disposable cameras on the tables.
Share it in five steps
Pick the photos
On the shoots.page homepage, tap Choose photos and select the set. HEIC photos from an iPhone upload as they are; video can't go in.
Name it and set the privacy
Give the gallery a title, such as your names and the date. You can add a password and an expiry date now; nothing uploads yet.
Sign in with Google
The shoots.page account is free. Your photos, title and settings carry through sign-in, so you never pick the files twice.
Let the upload finish
Previews are made as the files arrive. If the connection drops or you close the page, come back and press Resume upload; only the rest is sent.
Publish and send the link
Press Publish gallery and send the link by email, in the group chat or on the thank-you cards. In the app, Allow original downloads and Allow JPEG downloads decide what guests can save.
Four ways to get the photos to every guest
| Option | Guests need an account? | Full quality? | How long it lasts | Guests can add photos? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Photographer's gallery | Depends on the service | Depends on the photographer's download settings | As long as the photographer keeps it online | Depends on the service |
| shoots.page | No | Yes, the originals byte for byte, if you allow them | Until you revoke or delete it, or the expiry date passes | No |
| Google Photos shared album | No, a link opens without a Google Account | Not stated in Google's sharing help | Until you stop sharing it | Yes, unless you turn off Collaborate |
| iCloud shared album, iOS 27 | No, guests can join on the web without an Apple Account | Yes, full resolution, counted against your iCloud storage | Until you delete the album | Yes |
When a shared album fits better
shoots.page is one-way: only you add photos. If you want guests to add the photos from their own phones, a shared album or a guest-upload app fits better.
In Google Photos, anyone with the album link can add photos while Collaborate is on. Google's sharing help doesn't state a quality; backups in Original quality keep the resolution, while Storage saver resizes photos over 16 MP to 16 MP.
An iCloud shared album created on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 or iCloud.com keeps full resolution for up to 100 people, you included. Albums from iOS 26 or earlier that haven't been upgraded shrink photos to 2048 px on the long edge; see iCloud shared album quality.
Small things that help
A password. Gallery links are unlisted and kept out of search engines, but anyone with the link can open one. Add a password of 8 to 256 characters and the link alone is no longer enough.
An end date. With an expiry date, the link closes at the date and time you pick, and guests see that date on the gallery. The photos stay in your account, and you can extend or clear the date.
A QR code on the thank-you cards. Turn the link into a PNG or SVG with the free gallery QR code tool, and scan a printed test card before you order the batch.
A ZIP for close family. With original downloads on, parents and grandparents can save the whole set as one ZIP; the iPhone ZIP guide shows how to unzip it.
A plan for more than 2 GB. The free 2 GB is shared by all your galleries. If the full set doesn't fit, share a selection or move to Pro: 100 GB holds about 5,000 photos at 20 MB each, and its Heirloom design is made for weddings.
