How to download your photos from Pass Gallery before it closes

Pass+ has no account-wide export, so each gallery comes out as its own ZIP; with shoots.page you then send clients a new link, free up to 2 GB. Start with your own archive: photos sent through the Pass+ Uploader were recompressed unless support switched its optimizer off, and galleries over a year old need about 2 to 15 hours to unarchive.

Check your own archive first

Before you download galleries one by one, look on your own drives. If the finished exports are still on a hard drive, a backup or in your Lightroom or Capture One catalog, use those, or export the set again.

Those files are the originals. The Pass+ Uploader app has a built-in image optimizer that recompresses each JPEG to a smaller file at the same pixel dimensions. Pass says there is no visible quality loss, but unless support removed the optimizer from your account, or you had already run the files through JPEGmini, a Pass download is that optimized copy, not your export. Your own files also skip the unarchiving wait for older galleries.

Pass itself reminds photographers that client downloads should not replace your own archive. Treat a Pass download as the fallback for galleries you no longer have yourself.

Download a gallery from Pass+

  1. Open Galleries

In your Pass dashboard, choose Galleries in the left-hand menu.

  2. Open the gallery

Click the gallery you want to save, then choose Photos in the menu on the left.

  3. Select the photos

Use Select All at the top of the page, or choose Select Collection from the three-dot menu under each collection name.

  4. Choose Download

Select Share photos at the top of the page, then Download.

  5. Save the ZIP

Click the photos.zip link for the high-resolution files. The Download link beside "Prefer Web-Size photos?" gives smaller web-size copies instead.

  6. Rename it right away

Every gallery downloads as photos.zip, so rename each file to the gallery name before you start the next one.

  7. Check the download

Open the ZIP and make sure the photos you expected are all there, then store it somewhere safe.

Galleries older than a year

High-resolution files download immediately during a gallery's first year. After that, the originals have to be unarchived first, which Pass puts at about 2 to 15 hours, and Pass emails you when the gallery is ready. Request your oldest galleries first so they process while you work on the rest. On Pass's free plan, request unarchiving through the Gallery Preview rather than the Workflow tab.

If a gallery fails to download, a single missing high-resolution image or file error can be the cause. Note the gallery name and email help@passgallery.com.

What your clients can do

Until 31 October 2026, a client can open their gallery, click the download arrow at the top right, choose Download Full Gallery and then Download to Computer, or save to Dropbox or Google Photos. Pass makes them create an account with an email and password before they can download. After 31 October 2026 a gallery that was not migrated no longer opens, so a client who missed the date needs a new link from you. If they report a dead link, our guide to a Pass Gallery link that stopped working has a message you can send.

Deliver it again on shoots.page

shoots.page has no importer from Pass, and old Pass links do not point to it, so you upload the saved files and send each client a fresh gallery link. Clients view and download without creating an account, and get the originals byte for byte, one at a time or as one ZIP.

The free plan includes 2 GB, about 250 exported JPEGs at 8 MB each. Pro gives you 100 GB for USD 9 a month or USD 90 a year before applicable tax, and there is no limit on the number of galleries. shoots.page handles delivery and proofing only: no print sales, client accounts or invoicing. If you need those, the Pass Gallery alternatives page explains the Pic-Time migration.

Common questions

Can I download my whole Pass account at once?
No. Pass says there is currently no bulk download option for an entire account, so you open each gallery and download it on its own.
Why is my Pass download smaller than my original?
The Pass+ Uploader's image optimizer recompresses JPEGs to smaller files at the same pixel dimensions unless support removed it from your account. The download is that optimized copy, not your original export.
Can I still download after 31 October 2026?
Pass does not say. It asks photographers who are not migrating to download their galleries before 31 October 2026, and it permanently deletes all remaining data on 31 December 2026. For anything after the deadline, ask help@passgallery.com.
How long does an old gallery take?
Galleries older than one year take about 2 to 15 hours to unarchive, and Pass emails you when the gallery is ready to download.
Can shoots.page pull my galleries from Pass?
No. shoots.page cannot fetch galleries from Pass or take over old Pass links. You upload the files yourself and share a new link with your client.

Put the set back in front of your client
