What Pass announced
Pass+ is closing. SLR Lounge reported on 9 September 2026 that photographers were told in early September by email and a banner in the Pass dashboard. Pass's own Migration FAQ sets the dates: galleries that are not migrated stop being accessible to clients after 31 October 2026, and all remaining Pass data is permanently deleted on 31 December 2026.
The only migration Pass offers is to Pic-Time, because Pass has been powered by Pic-Time's technology for nearly a decade. Pass says the two are and remain separate companies, and that the offer is not an acquisition or merger. Its help centre says the migration stays open until 31 October 2026.
Migrating to Pic-Time
Migration is free for every Pass photographer, and your Pass pricing is honored through your renewal period at Pic-Time. A small number of accounts may be asked to make an annual commitment. You start the migration from your Pass account and the rest runs automatically; larger accounts can take a few hours, so Pass suggests starting overnight.
Galleries and images, gallery links, client data and contacts, remaining subscription time, scene names and order, download and access permissions, grid and watermark settings, slideshows, videos, email templates and vendor contacts all transfer. Order history, price lists, marketing automations, coupon codes, gallery templates, integrations and album proofing do not, and covers switch to Pic-Time's Classic theme. Old Pass links redirect clients to the migrated galleries for as long as those galleries stay live on Pic-Time.
If you sell prints, this is the easy path. You rebuild the store with Pic-Time's setup wizard, Pic-Time works with over 30 print labs, and custom products transfer but need a new price list before they sell. Our Pass Gallery alternatives page compares both routes side by side.
Billing, and what happens if you do nothing
Yearly subscriptions stopped auto-renewing on 6 August 2026 and now run month to month at 1/12 of the annual price. Monthly plans keep renewing until you migrate; with no action at all they auto-cancel on 31 December 2026.
That makes doing nothing the expensive option. Galleries stop opening for clients after 31 October 2026, while a monthly plan can keep charging until 31 December 2026, the day Pass deletes all remaining data. If you are not migrating, download what you need first, then cancel under Settings, Plans and Billing. If you do migrate, remaining Pass store profits go to your PayPal account automatically; Pass says to allow up to 5 business days.
If you only need delivery and proofing
Not every Pass user sold prints. If your clients have already paid and only need their photos, a full studio platform is more than the job needs. shoots.page does one thing: you upload a finished set, share one gallery link, and clients browse and download with no account.
The free plan holds 2 GB, about 250 exported JPEGs at 8 MB each, with every delivery feature. Pro gives you 100 GB for USD 9 a month or USD 90 a year before applicable tax. Besides JPEG you can upload PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP and camera RAW files, where Pass galleries took only JPEG and GIF. Clients get the originals byte for byte, with RAWs as full-size JPEGs, or untouched once you switch on RAW downloads, and photo proofing lets them pick favorites up to a limit you set.
There is no importer: you upload the finished files from your own archive and send each client a new link. If you sell prints or want your old Pass links to keep working, migrating to Pic-Time is the better fit.
