Moving Pass Gallery to Pic-Time

The Pass to Pic-Time migration is free and keeps your links and client data; if you only deliver files, shoots.page does that free up to 2 GB instead. Start before 31 October 2026: large accounts can take a few hours, and price lists, the store, coupons and order history don't come across.

How the migration works

Pass has run on Pic-Time's technology for nearly a decade, which is why the move can be automatic: galleries, account data and live links come across together. The two remain separate companies, and Pass says this is not an acquisition or merger. You start from the migration page after logging in to Pass, where your specific offer is shown, and the rest happens on its own.

How long it takes

Pass says the time depends on the size of your account and that larger accounts may take a few hours, so it recommends starting overnight. Photographers quoted by SLR Lounge on 9 September 2026 found it fast: one checked back a few hours after starting and found roughly 1,000 galleries done, another moved 3,372 galleries, and a Pass user since 2014 wrote that they "migrated last night and everything looks good". SLR Lounge's warning: "the progress bar lies." Several photographers saw it frozen at 0%; one logged back into Pass and found the migration had already finished.

Do this before you start

Save what Pic-Time will not receive while Pass is still open. Export order history one order at a time under Sales Campaigns, Orders, download each price list under Settings, Store Pricing, and screenshot coupon codes, marketing automations, gallery templates and album proofing. Check that the PayPal address on your Pass account is current, because Pass sends remaining store profits there. Our Pass Gallery export checklist lists every click.

After the migration: what to redo

  1. Check galleries and old links

Open a few galleries on Pic-Time and click some old Pass links to confirm they land on the right gallery. If the progress bar is stuck at 0%, log back into Pass and check: it may already be done.

  2. Rebuild your price lists

Price lists don't transfer. Create new ones in Pic-Time with your downloaded Pass lists as a reference, since Pass notes product and lab prices may differ, and assign your custom products to a new price list so they work in the store.

  3. Set up the store

Recreate the store with Pic-Time's guided setup wizard, which Pass says takes a few minutes. Pic-Time works with over 30 labs worldwide, including labs and products you already use on Pass.

  4. Review your covers

Covers now use Pic-Time's Classic Look and Feel theme. Colors you picked by hand or from a photo carry over, so check the galleries clients open most.

  5. Recreate coupons and automations

Coupon codes, including ones made for individual clients, and marketing automations have to be set up again in Pic-Time. Work from the screenshots you saved.

What it costs after the move

Your remaining Pass subscription time transfers to Pic-Time and is fully honored there. Pass says your Pass pricing, which sits below Pic-Time's standard tiers, is honored through your renewal period, and some subscribers are offered an extra discount; the exact terms are shown in your account. If your annual Pass subscription expires before 31 October 2026, Pic-Time may ask you to commit to a renewal.

Pic-Time's published plans, checked 29 October 2026: Free at $0 with 10 GB of photo storage for the first 3 months, then 3 GB; Beginner at $7 a month billed yearly or $8 monthly with 20 GB of photos and 5 GB of video; Professional at $21 or $25 with 100 GB of photos and 30 GB of video; Advanced at $42 or $50 with unlimited photo storage (terms apply) and 60 GB of video. When Pic-Time collects store payments it takes 15% of your profit on Free and Beginner, 8% on Professional and 6% on Advanced, and on Professional and Advanced you can avoid that by collecting payments yourself. Our Pic-Time pricing breakdown has the details.

On store profits, Pass's FAQ says two things. One answer says remaining Pass Store profits go to your PayPal account automatically once the migration completes, within up to 5 business days, and that you do not need to request them; another tells you to request a final cashout of your eligible balance when you migrate. Check your balance before you start, and contact Pass support if nothing arrives after 5 business days.

Should you migrate at all?

If you sell prints or products through your galleries, migrate. Pic-Time keeps your old links working while the galleries stay live there, brings your clients along and gives you a store with over 30 labs, and the move is free. It is also the only route that keeps old Pass links working, so for a print business the rebuild work on price lists and coupons is worth it.

If you only deliver files and never sold prints, you don't need a full studio platform. Download your galleries and deliver from your own exports on shoots.page: clients open one link and download with no account, and you can add a password, an expiry date or client favorites with a pick limit. Free covers 2 GB of published galleries, and Pro gives 100 GB for USD 9 a month or USD 90 a year before tax. The trade-offs are real: shoots.page has no importer, no print store and no client accounts, and old Pass links can never point to it, so every client needs a new link.

Questions about the Pic-Time migration

Is the Pass to Pic-Time migration free?

Yes. Pass says the migration is free for every Pass photographer, including Trial and Starter plans. A small number of accounts may be asked to make an annual commitment to Pic-Time to be eligible, and your exact offer is shown in your Pass account.

Will my Pass gallery links still work after migrating?

Yes. Old Pass links redirect clients to the migrated galleries on Pic-Time at the same URLs, for as long as those galleries remain live on Pic-Time. Galleries that are not migrated stop being accessible after 31 October 2026.

How long does the migration take?

Pass says larger accounts may take a few hours and recommends starting overnight. One photographer quoted by SLR Lounge found roughly 1,000 galleries done a few hours after starting; if the progress bar sits at 0%, log back into Pass and check whether it has already finished.

Do my price lists and orders move to Pic-Time?

No. Price lists, order history, coupon codes and marketing automations stay behind, and the store is rebuilt with Pic-Time's setup wizard. Download each price list and export each order before you migrate.

Can I migrate after 31 October?

Pass says the migration stays open until 31 October and describes no later option. After that date, galleries that were not migrated stop being accessible to clients, and all remaining data is deleted on 31 December 2026.

Only delivering files?

Upload a gallery you downloaded from Pass and send the client one link. Free up to 2 GB, no client account.
