Pass renewals run to 31 December 2026
How to cancel Pass Gallery
Cancel under Settings, Plans and Billing in Pass only after downloading every gallery; shoots.page then delivers the photos free up to 2 GB, with no client account. If you do nothing, monthly plans keep billing until 31 December 2026, while galleries not moved to Pic-Time stop opening after 31 October.

Download before you cancel
Pass's pricing page is blunt about cancelling: "When you cancel your subscription, your storage will be downgraded to the free plan. Only galleries that fit within that storage limit will be available. Any galleries above the storage limit will be removed." Its help article on downgrading says a cancelled plan stays active until the subscription ends and then downgrades automatically, lists the Free tier at 0 GB of storage, and says galleries over the limit are deleted automatically, oldest first. Pass warns that downgrading may cause permanent data loss.
Pass does not say how any of this plays out during the shutdown. Assume cancelling can cost you galleries, and save every one you want to keep before you click Cancel. There is no whole-account download: each gallery comes out on its own as photos.zip, and galleries older than a year need about 2 to 15 hours to unarchive first. Our guide to downloading photos from Pass Gallery has every click.
Cancel in the order Pass recommends
Download every gallery
Open each gallery and download it as photos.zip. Start with galleries older than a year, because they need about 2 to 15 hours to unarchive before the download is ready.
Export your client and gallery lists
One CSV covers every client and visitor across all galleries, while activity exports come one gallery at a time. Our Pass Gallery export checklist shows where each one lives.
Export your order history
Orders download as a CSV one order at a time, under Sales Campaigns, Orders.
Save what Pass cannot export
Download each price list, then copy or screenshot your coupon codes, marketing automations, gallery templates, letter templates, album proofing and sales campaigns.
Cancel, then email Pass if you paid ahead
Go to the Main Dashboard, Settings, Plans & Billing, click Cancel next to the active subscription, review it and click Confirm Change. If your subscription runs past 31 October 2026 and you are not migrating, email help@passgallery.com.
Monthly and yearly plans during the shutdown
A monthly plan keeps renewing until you migrate, and if you take no action at all it only cancels itself on 31 December 2026. Pass's own answer to what happens if you do nothing: galleries stop being accessible to clients after 31 October 2026, renewal charges continue until the subscription auto-cancels on 31 December 2026, and all remaining data is deleted that day. Doing nothing means paying renewals for galleries your clients can no longer open.
Yearly plans stopped auto-renewing on 6 August 2026. Pass now bills them month to month at 1/12 of the annual price until the platform closes, so a yearly plan needs cancelling too. If you take Pass's free migration to Pic-Time instead, your remaining subscription time transfers and is honored there, and Pass says the migration stays open until 31 October.
Refunds and time paid past 31 October
Pass's shutdown FAQ and its cancel article say nothing about refunds for unused time. Its terms of service say: "Except as specifically set forth in these Terms, all Services are prepaid one-month or one-year periods and are non-refundable." The order refund policy on Pass's help site covers client product orders, not subscriptions. If your subscription runs past 31 October 2026 and you are not migrating, the one instruction Pass gives is to email help@passgallery.com, so do that and ask what happens to the time you paid for.
Where to deliver next
If you sell prints, Pass's free migration to Pic-Time is the better route: old links keep working, client data comes along and you get a print store with over 30 labs. Our Pass to Pic-Time migration guide covers what moves and what you rebuild.
If you only deliver files, upload the photos you downloaded to shoots.page and send each client a new link. Clients browse and download with no account, and you can add a password or an expiry date. Free covers 2 GB of published galleries, and Pro gives 100 GB for USD 9 a month or USD 90 a year before tax. shoots.page cannot import from Pass and has no print store, and old Pass links can never point to it.
Questions about cancelling Pass
Does cancelling Pass delete my galleries?
Not straight away, under Pass's normal rules: a cancelled plan stays active until the subscription ends, then storage drops to the free plan and galleries above its limit are removed, oldest first. Pass does not say how that works during the shutdown, so download every gallery before you cancel.
Will Pass refund the rest of my subscription?
Pass's shutdown pages do not mention refunds for unused time, and its terms of service call subscriptions prepaid and non-refundable except as the terms set out. If you paid past 31 October 2026 and are not migrating, email help@passgallery.com, which is what Pass asks you to do.
What happens if I never cancel?
Pass says renewal charges continue until the subscription auto-cancels on 31 December 2026. Galleries not migrated to Pic-Time stop being accessible to clients after 31 October 2026, and all remaining data is deleted on 31 December 2026.
Can I still download my galleries after 31 October?
Pass has not said whether photographers can still log in or download between 31 October and 31 December 2026. Its advice is to download your galleries before 31 October 2026. If you are past that date, ask help@passgallery.com about your account straight away.
Deliver what you downloaded
Upload the photos from your Pass downloads, publish the gallery and send each client the new link. Free up to 2 GB, no client account.
