Share party photos from your phone
Pick the photos
Open shoots.page in your phone browser, tap Choose photos and select the party photos. HEIC photos from an iPhone upload as they are. Videos can't go in.
Add a title, and a password if you want one
Name the gallery, for example Mia's 7th birthday. You can add a password and an expiry date before anything uploads.
Sign in with Google
The account is free, and your photos and settings carry through sign-in, so you don't pick them again.
Let the upload run
Keep the page open while it uploads. If you leave or lose signal, come back and press Resume upload; only the rest is sent.
Publish and paste the link
Press Publish gallery, copy the link and paste it in the party's group chat. If you set a password, send it in a separate message.
Kids in the photos: password and end date
Party photos are full of other people's children, so keep them off the open web. Gallery links are unlisted and kept out of search engines, but anyone with the link can open the gallery. With a password of 8 to 256 characters, they need both, so keep the two inside the group.
Add an expiry date and the link closes at the date and time you pick; the photos stay in your account. You can also revoke the link at any time, and publishing again brings back the same link.
How guests save the photos they're in
Guests scroll the grid, 60 photos per page, and tap a photo to see it full screen. The button reads Download original or Download JPEG, depending on what you allowed in the app with Allow original downloads and Allow JPEG downloads.
On an iPhone, the file lands in the Downloads folder of the Files app. From there, Share and then Save Image puts it in Photos. A parent who wants everything taps Download all photos for one ZIP; the iPhone ZIP guide covers unzipping it.
Group chat or shared album instead?
- The group chat. WhatsApp's help center says media is usually compressed when shared, so quality may be lower than the original. HD quality is clearer but uses more data and takes longer, the connection still affects it, and WhatsApp suggests sending fewer photos at once if a large batch causes issues. More in does WhatsApp compress photos.
- A Google Photos shared album. Anyone with the link can view it, Google Account or not, and while Collaborate is on they can add photos too. Google's sharing help doesn't state a quality, and photos a guest saves count toward their own Google storage.
- An iCloud shared album. Albums made on iOS 27 or iCloud.com keep full resolution, and guests can join and add photos on the web without an Apple Account. What they add counts against your iCloud storage, guests on older software have to update or use iCloud.com, and albums from iOS 26 or earlier shrink photos to 2048 px unless upgraded. Not every feature is available in every country or region.
When guests should add photos too
shoots.page only goes one way: you upload, guests view and download. If you want every parent to add the photos from their own phone, use a shared album or a guest-upload app instead. You can also do both: a shared album for everyone's snaps, and a gallery link for the photos you took.
